    STILL COOL FRIDAY

After a cool and bright start, temperatures have improved into the 30s and 40s with increasing clouds.

Scattered showers will arrive after 1 PM from west to east, the steadiest rain expected from 4-8 PM.  We'll see up to 0.25" rainfall with trace ice in the northern Worcester Hills, western MA, southern VT and southwestern NH where temperatures are still near freezing. Although freezing rain will not be widespread, those small amounts could create dangerous local roads in the highlighted areas--drive safely. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY will be in effect through this evening for the icing potential across the higher terrain of Worcester county north of the pike, western Mass and into southern VT.  All precipitation should be done by midnight.

    WEEKEND UPS & DOWNS
Saturday is the pick of the weekend.  You'll see on and off clouds with highs in the 50s.  There's only a slight risk of a lonely shower far south in the afternoon with thickening clouds.  Widespread rain will come back into the picture late night.

Sunday's going to be WET.  Temperatures will range from the 30s to 40s. We'll have to keep an eye on the forecast across northwestern MA and southern NH for a wintry mix in the morning before plain rain takes over in the afternoon.   Get ready for a soaker.

    EARLY WEEK IMPROVEMENTS
Clouds will be slow to clear Monday.  By afternoon you should see much nicer conditions.  The bright forecast will last into Tuesday and early Wednesday with high pressure driving.  Temperatures will start chilly in the mornings Mon-Wed with highs near 50… Enjoy!
